Check out the new crew:

the rant

Well this is the rant. A time where i, hopefully on a normal schedule, talk about some random stuff that has been occurring the past few days. once more i have to say that i really enjoy my room mates. they are all a good group of guys.

Ooo. one thing that i have to mention is the joy that frisbee gives me. it has turned into quite an obsession with us a great sport and a great way to meet people. Our suite alone has invested in may different styles of frisbee's. eventually we will be as good as those club mother-fuckers. Anyways... i'm going to bed. I'm exhausted.

good day today...why, may you ask?... because i'm constantly being introduced into a new life.

the food

Ahhhh yes. We finally purchased some "food" to enjoy the evenings with. This is a big thing, since pre-gaming meals with food is the best, the only way that i've noticed, to have a good time at parties on dp or iv.
the next few nights should be chill. It is "dry week," meaning that the girls rushing aren't alowed to drink... awkward AND shitty.
Its all good though.
The R.A's are cool. Tonight i had dinner with a few from the san raf dorms. Not bad kids. They have their own problems to worry about (along with ours). I think they won't be giving me much of a problem.
Tonight was chill. We finally broke in the room for some people w/ drinks and just socializing. It was a good time. So far so good.

I'm nesxt to alex...he is passed out.

no booze...yet

Cliff side seshes and ice cream socials

bacardi and cranberry chaser. Thats what fueled me for a short period before the ice cream social at storke plaza. Did anyone else expect such a turnout? I guess the R.A's can throw quite a shin-dig can't they. Too bad it was the only shin-dig of the night, seeing as IV was another failed attempt for getting sauced and living out the sauciness.

After we left the ice cream social party daniel, alex, and i all walked around the lagoon for a little midnight bowlskie. The spot we found is ideal. Closed off from the main dirt trail by some mini dunes, it can only be accessed by a trail that is unattractive. Hopefully that will be enough to distance myself from the possibility of a CSO busting me. I have to find more of these spots.

Today is full of exciting things:
BBQ, Soccer?, rec-center, frisbee...the possibilities are limitless.

First two days in Santa Barbara

These days have been very interesting. I kid you not, i don't think i've experienced quite a scene like this. Rightfully so, it does deserve its notoriety.

What is there to complain about the surrounding environment?
...beach days, sunny days, biking days, happy days.
...loud nights, flesh filled nights, wet nights.

It has its ups and downs, but life, as i know it, is about change and adjusting to the new, surrounding actions and lifestyles. {sigh} culture--I love you--but sometimes I want to hit it and quit it. And thats how i feel, so far, about Santa Barbara.
There is such an interesting social culture here, much different then what i have had with my friends back in the san fernando valley. For instance, one of my suitemates, whom is very easy to get along with, has committed himself to forming a team, between a few guys from my suite, to easily pick up chicks so we can sleep with them, together or alone.

I'll never forget my first meal at freebirds, because this particular suitemate showed up and said something along these lines... "I'm going to be honest and upfront, I don't know if your down, but i think ------ is down. I am into orgies..." ect ect. (he had two chicks with him). Basically he was seeing if i was down.

Gotta respect the man for being honest and up front.

But i'm here not to judge, but to meet new people, despite what they are into. And, shit, we all do things that seem strange, unusual, or disgusting to other people. Who am i to hate on someone who just likes to get kinky w/ a few people.

Some lyrics...need some work.

my voice goes off when i have nothing to say.
it is those who listen who suffer in the end.
I know when I feel, but I'm unsure what i know.
I'm not down.
I'm not alone.
I'm just a little bit lost.

Don't know where I'm going.
I want to leave, but with no destination
Nothing drives me.
There is no X marks the spot.

So I made mistakes did what i shouldn't
Formed some habits that left be clueless.
Now i'm stuck, with no destination.

With you I could get to where I want to go.
All i'd need to do is feel.
There is no friction between my touch and your skin.

My voice goes off when I have nothing to say.
My Heart beats slowly when I'm feeling happy.
My eyes won't tell you anything,
but take a deeper gaze
and you'll find everything you want to know.

There is no friction between my touch and your skin.
Be with me, lay, and listen.
You're my X.
frictionless and destined.

beautiful

Woke up Early

Woke up early, 6am.
My mouth is dry.
Must of drank.
Don't remember drinking.

But I do recall
her searching,
grabbing,
and taking.

...and Leaving.

My shirt is stained
right where my heart
sits.

...sat.

Slicing Through the Heavens

Just looking at the clouds
I think, "We're Slicing
Through the Heavens" and then
I recalled one of my earliest
flights. While I was taking off
I was anticipating flying into
the clouds, so I could see heaven.
It was a disappointment, so
my mom said "it is hidden in the
clouds," or something along
those lines. After that I have
never searched for the "kingdom".
Belief can change that day for kids.
I wonder what the kids on the
plane have thought about
this subject.

The Top

So I was talking with C. Brennan and A. Quan about our top ten songs and top ten albums. I didn't have much to say, since it was slapped down on me. I want to post those lists up here, but it will take time my friends. don't think this task will come easily.

This Just May Take a While.

Cheers...

Beginnings

Here is to beginnings... the first step elsewhere or, for the unfortunate, the first step to the end.

So here I am starting a blog, my first ever, and I will try to maintain it. I plan on putting some old journal entries or lyrics into this. Oh! You know what, why not, i'll review some albums as well. That all sounds like good fun! Right?

Cheers.

Italian Impressions

Corn and sunflowers dance in the breeze
and fill the land. The Tuscan sun gorge-
ously shines through the breeze making
the sky ripple with an orange luminescent
glow that is a drug for my eyes. It doesn't
hurt, yet my stare is burning holes in my
eyes. What a beautiful sight, but all bea-
uty comes with a price. It is deadly to
wear pants and the land seems dry. Yet
around every corner is a valley of grape-
vines. My mouth fills with saliva thinking
about it. I guess I'll get out of this car
and have a glass of roset.
